Conveyor belt with metal cord (breaker)

Belts with a metal breaker have a main advantage over conventional rubber-fabric belts - this is resistance to breakdown, thanks to the metal cord built-in under the working belt.

Thus, such tapes become resistant to impacts of large acute-angle material, as well as bulky cargo.

They are divided into 3 categories:

• RC - steel cord of transverse steel cables, elastic version, used on grooved conveyors;
• SC - steel cord from reinforcement with increased lateral rigidity, is used exclusively on flat surfaces of conveyor systems (not used on grooved);
• BR - a metal cord made of polyamide, used for conveyors where metal detectors and magnetic separators are installed.
